I very seldom do giveaways or reviews because I don’t find them all that interesting to write. You can drop me a line if you have something you’d like me to cover but it’s not really what I do here. Unless you’d like me to review celebrity behavior or the breakdown in civil discourse. I would LOVE to get paid to talk about that stuff.

Rebekah,
A friend sent me your blog as a birthday gift yesterday. What a treat to read writing that is poignant and articulately written…not to mention of my general political persuasion. I loved your tribute to Richard Holbrooke. Thank for being a reasonable voice in what sometimes seems like a wilderness of babbling.

Good thinking in the article Choices, I hear the Republicans are going after the Abortion law, again, when will it stop. So sick of the MEN doing all the talking about Women’s bodies and choices..

My name is Aida and I am a Public Relations Student at the University of Maryland College Park. I was searching for a blogger who has written a positive review on the Breastfeeding Center for Greater Washington and I found your blog. I will be so happy to have an interview with you to talk about what you believe is amazing about this organization. I hope you will get a chance to respond to my email. I will even pray for your response. The content of the interview is actually an assignment that I have to submit to my teacher. Please, please respond if you get a chance.
Regards
Aida
Hey, don’t apologize for your thoughts! It’s great to know there are some people out there who are catching on to this debacle called Congress. I’ve been a political wonk for more than 50 years: following and involved in politics and running a couple of campaigns. I’ve never been more totally sick of a bunch of arrogant, pompous, career elitist politicians than I am now…in each party. They are totally usless! As a former reporter (I write a couple of weekly columns for various pubs) I’ve covered politics at the local, regional levels. But this bunch of worthless twits are the sorriest ever. Short of killing people they are as much traitors to this country and its people as any terroists for their lack of care, compassion and willingness to rise above their partisan childishness. I have a campaign slogan for 2012 that is beginning to catch the attention of other voters of BOTH parties: THROW ALL THE DAMNED BUMS OUT! There are a few–very few–in Congress willing to compromise for the good of the nation and its people. But when the senior positions are held by the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, John McCain et al, these unknowns aren’t able to break the good ol’ boy/girl club. Until voters get their belly full of these worthless people and vote all incumbents out, nothing will change. So keep it up and pass it on!
